Interim Deputy Headteacher – Independent SEN Nurture School

Achieve Education are supporting an SEN Group who have recently opened up a new school based in East London. The school offers a nurture service for children with ASC or SEMH, aged 7 – 11 years of age.

They are seeking to appoint an interim Deputy Headteacher from January 2021 on a fixed-term basis – Salary is dependent on experience.

The successful person will oversee the day-to-day running of the school and work with the Executive Headteacher to deliver strategic development of the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and hold oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy, with the aim of raising supporting all pupils to reach their full potential.

You will work collaboratively with the Senior Social Worker and Executive Headteacher to ensure staff adhere to the Safeguarding/Child Protection Procedures and promote the interests of and ensure the safety and well-being of pupils through overseeing the delivery of a high standard of the pastoral provision at all times. You will also work closely with the Senior Primary Teacher to help establish and maintain the quality and standards of educational progress.

Alongside this the Deputy Headteacher will work with the clinical and therapeutic teams to develop appropriate strategies on a whole school, class and individual basis, ensuring that the right resources are in place to deliver the interventions identified on individual EHCP’s, as well as seeking additional support and consultation from the Head of Clinical Services, Executive Headteacher and School Support Team, as appropriate, in order to ensure that appropriate provision is in place for our most complex learners.

Project Manager / Data Analyst required

Achieve Education are supporting a multi-academy trust who have schools based across the UK. They are seeking to appoint a Project Manager / Data Analyst on a permanent contact with an immediate start, to be based in their Head Office in North London.

The successful person will act as a senior project manager for the Trust, ensuring that first class project disciplines are deployed in the execution of all change management projects. You will also have leadership responsibility for all creation, production and reporting of the Trust’s management information, KPI reporting, and data analysis to enable and support strategic decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the focal point for preparing and maintaining project plans that cover all aspects of the Trust’s multi-locational school and functional change management requirements
  • Identification of project workstreams via project charters, initiative prioritisation, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues so that business objectives are met
  • Monitoring and completion of monthly / periodic project status reports, ensuring the Trust and key stakeholders are made fully aware of project progress
  • Work with peers and colleagues to manage overall programme dependencies between work streams, and with other programmes/projects, and provide full and monitoring, oversight and stakeholder management
  • Actively manage project budgets to ensure full budgetary control with support from Finance
  • Track project performance on post-implementation of key projects to ensure that benefits in relation to original business cases are met
  • Helping ensure the service delivery of PMO services. Data Management and Analysis
  • Lead the development, creation, implementation, and day-to-day management of the Trust reporting suite via Power BI – ensuring that adoption of Financial, Operational, Educational, and KPI measures are adhered to within the operations

KEY SKILLS / KEY KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification
  • Power BI capabilities and building Power BI dashboards

School Business Manager – Permanent contract

Achieve Education are supporting a forward-looking and vibrant primary school based in North London. They are seeking to appoint an experienced School Business Manager on a permanent contract from February 2021.

The successful person will be working in an exceptional school setting, which will also offer collaboration with other schools in the local community that form a special alliance, therefore giving you the opportunity to develop and oversee the business and operations of not only this school but the wider community.

You will be a key member of the senior leadership, whose key focus will be the strategic development and management of the operations areas within the school. This will involve all aspects of administration, finance, HR, premises, resources and Health & Safety, thus experience in leading and motivating teams and a strong understanding of business is required.

The school provides education for students aged 7 – 19 years with SEMH and ASC and other associated learning difficulties. Therefore the successful person joining will be an experienced senior leader with extensive experience within SEN school settings, with a key focus on SEMH and the autistic spectrum.

Achieve Education are supporting a specialist learning provision who have services based across SW England. They are seeking to appoint an English Co-ordinator on a permanent basis from January 2021 for their school site based in Devon.

The service provides education for children aged 13 – 16 years with SEMH / SEBD, plus children who have experienced difficulties with mainstream schooling.

Students within the provision are those considered hard to reach and young people who have struggled to ‘fit in’ within mainstream education, therefore their learning journey is highly personalised and supportive of their wellbeing.  Sessions are delivered through one-to-one sessions and small group work sessions.

The successful person will be experienced with coaching and teaching young people with SEMH up to GCSE level, as well as experienced with creating and providing an aspirational and creative English curriculum which covers an array of Functional Skills, KS3 through to KS4 to be taught directly in their schools.

You will also be tasked with creating an English curriculum that will be used to teach certain pupils who require remote learning via specialist learning mentors, who will be line managed by the person appointed as well.
