Achieve Education are supporting a specialist alternative provision school based in London. They are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from January 2021 on a permanent basis.

The school is the centre of high quality and innovative education for children, families and schools. They combining teaching with up-to-date Systemic CAMHS practice, with a key focus on easing behavioural and mental health-related blocks to learning and provide learning opportunities with the pupils ability to learn and achieve.

They provide education to young people struggling to manage successfully in mainstream schools. With increasing pupil numbers they are now looking to add to their leadership team by appointing an outstanding Deputy Headteacher from across the primary / middle school age range.

SELECTION OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide dynamic, consistent and motivational leadership to the leadership team, the staff, children, families and wider community
  2. Use the innovative mental health and education provision to motivate and incentivise disenfranchised young people aged between five and fourteen years of age to re-engage with education through an alternative form of learning and mental health care
  3. Work with the Headteacher and Governing Body in defining, articulating and implementing the values, ethos, vision and mission of the school
  4. Work in partnership with parents and carers to raise educational standards, promote lifelong learning, and improve outcomes for all.
  5. Help ensure all teaching and support staff are fully informed of strategic and operational objectives.

Achieve Education are supporting a Multi-Academy Trust who have schools based across the UK. They are seeking to appoint an experienced SENCo to join one of their primary schools based in Bristol, from January 2021 on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a school who have recently had an inspection in Autumn 2018, the school was placed in special measures. In response to the inspection, the school transitioned to joining their current MAT.

Since this transition, the MAT has moved with haste to implement areas of improvement across the school, which involved appointing a new Principal, restructuring the staffing team, and introducing a dynamic new curriculum.

The successful person will hold or be working towards the national SENCo qualification and will have a passion for inclusion and improving the life chances of all pupils. You will also lead the whole school SEN and ensure that pupils receive the support they need to be successful.

KEY SKILLS / KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  1. A passion for delivering enhanced experiences, improved outcomes for pupils with additional and special educational needs, alongside exceptional specialist knowledge of SEN to ensure strategies have an impact.
  2. Experience, expertise, and a proven impact with leading inclusion
  3. Currently hold, or working towards a SENCO qualification
  4. Undergo DSL training

Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion / SEND)

Achieve Education are supporting a multi-academy trust who have a selection of primary and secondary schools across the UK. The Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion / SEND) from January 2021 or sooner if possible, within one of their primary schools based in the Somerset region on a permanent basis.

The school are currently going through some transitional changes on its journey of improvement. A new Principal has introduced a new and innovative curriculum, plus they have also bought in some positive changes through restructuring certain elements of the school’s staffing structure.

Due to this, they wish to appoint an inspirational leader to join as their new Assistant Headteacher, overseeing Inclusion / SEND. The successful person will have a passion for inclusion and improving the life chances of all pupils and would have the opportunity to join a high performing team within the school.

You will lead the whole school SEND and ensure that pupils receive the support they need to be successful. Alongside this, you will have a passion for delivering enhanced experiences and improved outcomes for pupils with additional and special educational needs.

Maths Co-ordinator

Achieve Education are supporting a specialist learning provision based in Gloucestershire. They provide education for children aged 13 – 16 years with SEMH / SEBD, plus children who have experienced difficulties with mainstream schooling.

Students within the provision are those considered hard to reach and young people who have struggled to ‘fit in’ within mainstream education, therefore their learning journey is highly personalised and supportive of their wellbeing.  Sessions are delivered through one-to-one sessions and small group work sessions.

The specialist provision are seeking to urgently appoint a Maths Co-ordinator on a permanent basis with an immediate start. You will be experienced with coaching and teaching young people with SEMH up to GCSE level, as well as creating and providing an aspirational and creative Maths curriculum which covers an array of Functional Skills, KS3 through to KS4 to be taught directly in their schools. You will also be tasked with creating a Maths curriculum to be used to teach certain pupils who require remote learning via specialist learning mentors, who will be line managed by the successful Maths Co-ordinator appointed.
