Achieve Education are supporting a multi-academy trust with schools based across Central Bedfordshire. They are seeking to appoint a Head of School from January 2021 on a permanent basis, within one of their secondary schools which joined the Trust 5 years ago.

The successful person will either be a Deputy Headteacher / Vice-Principal seeking their first step into a Head of School role, or a current Headteacher / Head of School seeking a new challenge; with a proven senior leadership track record. Previous or current experience working within a medium or large multi-academy trust and/or inner-city schools is advantageous.

This is a school on a journey of transformational change, therefore the key focus and strategy will be implementing improvements within teaching and learning and ultimately, improving student outcomes. You will be working alongside a collaborative Senior Leadership Team and forward-thinking Executive Principal to ensure a high quality of standards are consistently achieved within the school. This will involve you providing operational and daily leadership, with a key focus on raising standards in teaching, learning and student performance.

This is a pivotal role in not only the academy but across the MAT’s leadership structure; therefore you will be building on positive work that has taken place so far and continuing the school’s journey.

With that in mind, you will need to lead from the front, have a visible presence in the school community, be consistent in your leadership style and approach; build strong relationships by being approachable and getting to know students and staff alike. Encouraging high standards of achievement and behaviour through rewards and structure and experience of Sixth Forms is also beneficial.

Interim Deputy Headteacher

Achieve Education are supporting an SEN school based in NW England who are seeking to appoint an interim Deputy Headteacher from November 2020.

The school has been judged ‘Outstanding’ in all areas and is based in a large 19th Century country house, set in eight acres of beautiful parkland.

Pupils are grouped in small classes best suited to their needs, there is also a separate, well-resourced purpose-built suite of classrooms for pupils who are on the autistic spectrum and with other learning conditions. The school offers a flexible, personalised, engaging skills-based curriculum, which provides choice and challenge; focus on developing emotional literacy, core subject knowledge and offering a wide range of accredited outcomes.

The successful person will be a senior leader with extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outstanding learning for children and young people with special education needs, predominately catering for autism, SEMH and other closely associated conditions.

You will become a part of an ambitious senior leadership team who pride themselves on building on the school’s excellent reputation. Being a part of the senior leadership team includes working closely with the Executive Headteacher and Head of School, who pride themselves on building on the school’s excellent reputation.

As the Deputy Headteacher, you will bring an inspired approach to improving performance and be at ease and comfortable working with the local community, outside agencies and other stakeholders. You will also be a forward-thinking leader, with proven experience of whole school development and improvement.

Achieve Education are supporting a small multi-academy trust based with schools based across Bedfordshire. They are seeking to appoint a Head of School from January 2021 on a permanent basis, within one of their thriving secondary schools.

The successful person will either be a Deputy Headteacher / Vice-Principal seeking their first step into a Head of School role, or a current Headteacher / Head of School seeking a new challenge; with a proven senior leadership track record. Previous or current experience working within a middle or large multi-academy trust and/or inner-city schools is advantageous.

The school is an 11-18 mixed secondary, based in a state of the art building with well-equipped classrooms. You’ll be working alongside a collaborative Senior Leadership Team and forward-thinking Executive Principal to ensure a high quality of standards are consistently achieved within the school. This will involve you providing operational and daily leadership, with a key focus on raising standards in teaching, learning and student performance. This is a pivotal role in not only the academy, but across the MAT’s leadership structure; therefore you will be building on positive work that has taken place so far and continuing the school’s journey from its current ‘Good’ Ofsted rating to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated school.
